Something fun...If you've got a new baby in your life post his or her name and birthdate here on our blog, expected due dates are fine, and baby names up to a year old are welcome to be posted.  October 1st we'll choose a name from those listed and that lucky blog poster will win a 4-fat quarter stack from the Lake House line of fabric!  Happy Posting! A recent news story confirmed what we already suspected at The Calico Horse...there's a baby boom going on!  It is so fun to help someone choose baby fabric, nothing quite like the anticipation of a new addition to your family or circle of friends.  We've got a fatastic selection of kits and fabric.  Lakehouse has the most adorable lines right now!  We made the cutest boy quilt from the boy fabric, great shades of blues and greens with circles and puppies and frogs and kits are available.The girl line is perfect for baby or bigger girls with wonderful shades of pink, purple, browns and touches of orange featuring cupcakes and X's and 0's.  We remember making quilts for our daughter's dolls and this would be great for that, too.  We have cute little stacks of 4 fat quarters available.  We also have sweet baby charm quilts that we created from our own bolts of fabric.  The boy is soft shades of blue, yellow and green and features some Swell and Lakehouse.  For the girl it's the softest pastel pinks and greens with accents of powder blue.  Our kits are priced right, starting at just $25 so you can give a wonderful handmade quilt to that special mom to be.  (kits included pattern and binding)  One latest quilts can go for either boy or girl muted primary colors featuring RJR's Play Date Fabric, Kits run $25 (includes pattern and scrappy binding).
